چکیده
Abstract For the feature-based detector of small targets in sea clutter, on one hand, three-dimensional convex hull-based deviates from distribution clutter vectors feature space and only combines information low-dimen-sional features. On other redundancy correla-tion between high-dimensional features are high. Consequently, we propose a for detecting floating (HDFS) this paper. First, mRMR algorithm to choose low-relatedness HDFS is proposed. For algorithm, target 8-dimensional (8-DFS), where have highest degree discrimination 3-dimen-sionalfeature (3-DFS). Second, distributionof 3-DFS concave or convex, which depends selection In most cases, concave. Using traditional hull match inevitably enlarges judgment area considerably de-creases detection probability. Due 3-DFS, new false alarm control-lable based (mRMR-Tri-ConcaveHull detector). mRMR-Tri-Concave-Hull detector, selected by mRMR, form that more suitable Con-caveHull detector. Through theexperimentalanalysisof meas-ured data, find proposed mRMR-Tri-ConcaveHull paper can significantly enhance performance compared with three-feature

Small Target Detection in Heavy Sea Clutter
This paper mainly deals with the detection problem of the target with low Radar Cross-Section (RCS) in heavy sea clutter with unknown Power Spectral Density (PSD). Since the performance of traditional single-scan detectors degrades as the target of interest is smaller and weaker, three adaptive detectors, based upon a two-step design procedure, are proposed within the framework of the multiples...
متن کاملMotion segmentation for tracking small floating targets in IR video
In the domain of mine-warfare, the detection of targets floating on the surface has remained difficult to automate. Nevertheless, experience in the Persian Gulf has proved that unmoored floating mines are a realistic threat to shipping traffic. An automated system capable of detecting these and other free-floating small objects, using readily available sensors, would prove to be a valuable mine...
متن کاملInsect Detection of Small Targets Moving in Visual Clutter
Detection of targets that move within visual clutter is a common task for animals searching for prey or conspecifics, a task made even more difficult when a moving pursuer needs to analyze targets against the motion of background texture (clutter). Despite the limited optical acuity of the compound eye of insects, this challenging task seems to have been solved by their tiny visual system. Here...
متن کاملMultifractal features of sea clutter
Sea clutter refers to the backscattered returns from a patch of the sea surface illuminated by a transmitted radar pulse. Since the complicated sea clutter signals depend on the complex wave motions on the sea surface, it is reasonable to study sea clutter from nonlinear dynamics, especially chaos, point of view, instead of simply based on random processes. In the past decade, Dr. Simon Haykin’...
متن کاملPolarimetric Detection of Targets in Inhomogeneous Clutter
Polarization diversity in radar is useful to detect targets, particularly when Doppler discrimination is not possible. We introduce a new polarimetric radar model that includes the realistic dependence of the clutter reflections on the transmitted signal. We then develop a statistical polarimetric detection test, robust to heavy inhomogeneous clutter. We prove that the detector’s false-alarm ra...
